Our interpretation of a guest bed is
not of a bed in a spare room but a space saving, functional and
practical bed that has a dual purpose. This would be a full time bed
during its normal life and have the facility to accommodate an adult or
child for the occasional sleep over.
Our main recommendation and
most popular bed in this category is a single bed with a perfectly good
quality mattress that has a slightly smaller single bed stored
underneath. The under bed can be rolled out on castors and, by means of a
robust, collapsible, metal leg system, can be raised to the same height
as the master bed and used separately as a second single bed or pushed
together with the master bed and used as a double bed. The essential and
fundamental point is that the bed has been bought as a full time good
quality single bed but has a secondary, space saving option of a spare
bed as part of the package.
There are less expensive options that we
could offer but this significantly lowers the quality of the main
mattress. The main divan base has headboard fittings at each end, which
allows the base to be rotated to enable the under bed to be rolled out
from either the left or right side of the master bed, to suit the
configuration of each individual customers bedroom.
